What's the best thing about harvest season? The food, of course! Olympus property shares our favorite festive fall recipes to try this year.
Stewed Cinnamon Apples
Made with just 3 ingredients, this apple mixture is perfect for breakfast, snacks, or even dessert. Serve them warm or cold and pair with any dish of your liking – throw on top of some warm pancakes for breakfast or toss in some oatmeal. Or, add to a scoop of vanilla ice cream and some granola for dessert.
All you need are 2 apples (pink lady or honeycrisp work best) 1 tsp of cinnamon, 1 tsp of maple syrup, and 2 tbsp of water. Peel and dice up your apples into bite-sized pieces, then add all ingredients into a saucepan on low heat. Cook for about 10 minutes, then remove from the heat and serve or store away in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Homemade Whipped Cream
Homemade whipped cream is leaps and bounds better than any store-bought aerosol whipped cream can. Possibly one of the easiest recipes to make, this recipe is simple, sweet, and perfect for any warm drink or dessert topping.
You’ll need an electric mixer (stand or hand) a half pint of heavy whipping cream, 1 tbsp of granulated sugar, and 1 tsp of vanilla extract (or any extract flavor of your choosing). Add all ingredients to the bowl and mix on medium for about 2 minutes, or until dense peaks form. Serve immediately and refrigerate any leftovers in a piping bag or a container for up to a week.
Tip: for a fall-packed flavor fest, toss in a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg to the mixture before blending.
Cheesy Corn & Grits
Cheese and grits are the ultimate comfort foods. With melt-in-your-mouth flavors, this dish is perfect as a meal in and of itself or can be an awesome pairing to your main course. Just 25 minutes of your time and you’ll have a tasty meal to enjoy on a cool evening.
