While Halloween has overarching elements like pumpkins, skulls, and candles, there are many different styles to choose from when decorating. Keep reading to see which spooky season theme is your favorite.

Halloween is often pictured as bright, orange pumpkins, candy corn treats, and crooked witch hats. But what if Halloween was beautiful? Chic Halloween decor features modern, sleek statement pieces, like black-painted pumpkins. You’ll find glass vases filled with lots of greenery or plum-colored roses. And to complete the look, go with a beautiful grapevine wreath on your front door.

Taking the elegant look a step further, a moody vibe is all about the dark, dramatic, and mysterious. Think black netting, skulls, and gaudy focal pieces. Don’t forget drippy pillar candles, black-feathered birds, and plenty of dried flowers.

When you think of witchcraft decor, you picture cauldrons, candles, and apothecary potion bottles. Be sure to add a broom and a few bells to really witch it up. And, of course, you can’t forget skulls and vintage-looking art prints to complete the vibe.

Harry Potter, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Hocus Pocus themes are a few ideas that come to mind when decorating whimsically. The key here is sticking with that theme throughout your entire decor for a cohesive feel.

From plaid linens and knicknacks to pumpkins and gourds, country – or farmhouse – Halloween decor is about as cozy as it gets. Go for pretty cotton wreaths, bats on the wall, a few pumpkins, and a buffalo plaid black and white tablecloth and matching sofa pillows.

Happy decorating! And be sure to follow our Olympus blog page and social media posts for more fun ideas, how-to’s, recipes, giveaways, and seasonal contests.
