GET YOUR HOME READY FOR FALL WITH THESE 5 DECORATIONS

|

Pumpkin spice lattes, apple pie slices, cozy sweaters, brisk morning walks – how do you relate to fall? The cool weather season is officially here, and we’re officially loving it. It’s time to embrace the season and all the beautiful colors it has to offer, and that’s not limited to the outdoors. Get your home ready for fall with these five decorating tips.

Pumpkins, Gourds & Squash

One of the easiest ways to bring fall feels into your home is by incorporating the fruits of fall into your home. Make it fun by visiting a local pumpkin patch and hand-plucking your personal favorites to incorporate into your fall design. There are plenty of ways to arrange and display the mini squash, and in a basket is one of our favorites.

Plaid, Buffalo Check & Neutral Knits

Nothing screams fall like the look of cozy fall linens and neutral materials. Add a buffalo check blanket to your living room setup for cold weather snuggles. Plaid is always reminiscent of autumn. And neutrals like a jute rug or woven table runner serve as a great backdrop for the fall decor you add to it.

Fall Landscaping, Indoors & Out

Just because the summer growing season is over doesn’t mean you can’t display the fruits of fall’s labor. Check out your local garden center for some mums, and display them as a welcoming entryway for visitors. For an indoor tablescape, head to the outdoors and gather fallen tree limbs, fresh fall foliage, and neutral florals for a pop of seasonal color at the dining table.

Fall Signage

Get in the spirit with a happy fall sign to display in your home. Craft stores typically have a great display of signage available, and if you’re feeling crafty, grab some materials to create your own sign. A chalkboard sign works great for changing out the message, or a letterboard is a cute way to display ever-changing quotes.

Hang Window & Door Wreaths

Dress up the exterior of your home with outdoor fall design. Buy or make a wreath that dons fall festive pieces like apples, corn, autumnal florals, and wheat. If you choose to make them, the basic grapevine wreath is an excellent starting point.
