With fall quickly closing in and Pumpkin Spice season in full force, now is an excellent time to look back on all the ways flavors have been misapplied over the years, beginning with variations on that special mix made famous by our friends at Starbucks.
Pumpkin Spice Everything
People either love, love, love the PSL, or they hate it with a passion. If you fall into the former category, there are many other ways to stave off your cravings between trips to the ‘bucks. Products like Pumpkin Pie Kit Kat, Pumpkin Spice Cheerios, Philadelphia Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese Spread, Native Pumpkin Spice Latte Deodorant, and many, many more will surely fill that strange hole. Unfortunately, Pumpkin Spice Spam was only around for one season and quickly sold out. But you can still pick up a can on Ebay for between $40 and $150!
Oreos Spooky Edition
These don’t seem to be available any longer – or this year’s edition just has yet to be released – but these special cookies contain magic elf tears that make them glow bright green when the lights are turned low! No word on whether they cause kids to grow extra toes, though. P.S., Pumpkin Spice Oreos are also a thing!
Nobody likes Peeps. It’s a known fact. Yet, every year they are made, so somebody must be buying them! (Is it you??) That apparent demand is driving other companies to attempt to cash in, resulting in products like Prairie Farms Peeps Egg Nog, Orange Creme Flavored Milk, Chocolate Marshmallow Flavored Milk, and Strawberry Creme Flavored Milk, offering you a daily dose of 37 grams of sugar per serving. Afternoons, why not reach for a cold can of Peeps flavored Pepsi? We’ll tell you why not – all these products seem to be discontinued. Thank goodness!
A few years ago, Lays apparently held a contest asking customers to choose their next new potato chip flavor. The four finalists were Cappuccino, Wasabi Ginger, Bacon Mac & Cheddar Cheese, and Mango Salsa. Unfortunately, cappuccino didn’t win and that’s all that matters!
