CELEBRATE NATIONAL CRAWFISH DAY ON APRIL 17 WITH TASTY CRAWFISH DISHES AT THESE KATY RESTAURANTS

|

Crawfish is a famously beloved dish in this region of the country – so much so that we have a nationally-recognized day to celebrate it. If you love crawfish as much as we do, you’ll want to try these local restaurants on this special day.

TaD’s Louisiana Cooking

This local hotspot was dreamed up in 2014, when the owners realized that Katy needed some Louisiana flair. Their menu features classic Cajun dishes from jambalaya to gumbo. And of course, you’ll find a variety of crawfish – fried, bisque, and boiled. They love to have patrons enjoy the warm, Southern hospitality, but are also famous for the “to geaux” option for those who just want to pick up their food and enjoy it at home.

Cajun Comforts Crawfish & Seafood Company

A family owned business, Cajun Comforts strives to be your favorite source of delicious Cajun food. They have an incredible selection of crab, shrimp, and crawfish and an active Events calendar. Be sure to follow them on Facebook to stay informed of all the happenings!

LA Crawfish

This well-known crawfish franchise makes it easy to pick up a delicious crawfish boil, spicy and overflowing with flavor thanks to their additions like garlic butter, Cajun rub, and the hot and sour sauce – pick your favorite, or have them mixed together. They also carry shrimp, crab, oysters, pho, chicken wings, and of course, po’boys.

Big N’s BBQ & Crawfish

Locals love Big N’s, where you can get boiled crawfish by the pound, with classic additions like corn, potatoes, and sausage. Their Facebook page features fun videos of their cooking process, which is a great way to learn more about this favorite dish.

BB’s Tex-Orleans

Founded in 2007 by Brooks Bassler, who wanted to celebrate the Bassler family recipes, this restaurant created the perfect fusion of Texas-Louisiana cuisine. Their menu celebrates the distinct tastes of this region, and heavily features crawfish. Try their boils and etouffee or other unique dishes from shrimp and grits to fish tacos with cajun slaw.

And don’t forget to drop by the Olympus Katy Ranch office on April 17 for the National Crawfish Day Giveaway. We have two $35.00 gift cards to Katy Vibes to give to two lucky winners! When you’re ready to find more tasty spots close to home, be sure to check out our other blogs posts.
