Summer is finally here, and the temperatures are only going to keep climbing. Fortunately, there are a variety of cool, refreshing lakes in and around Dallas that are calling your name. Check out these fun ways to enjoy the water this summer.

A Splash of Fun Jet Ski Rental

More like a tsunami of fun! Rent a jet ski or two from this local business and they’ll throw in the trailer, a full tank of gas, three life jackets, a fire extinguisher, and a tow rope. You just bring the people and the tow-hitch equipped vehicle. Reservations are required, and you know they run out on hot days, so get yours in early!

Stand Up Paddle North Texas

There’s nothing cooler than walking on water! SUPNTX offers paddleboard and kayak rentals at Lake Carolyn, just 11.5 miles from Olympus at Ross. Because Lake Carloyn is a private lake, bringing your own watercraft is not an option. But SUPNTX offers plenty of reasons to make renting from them more than ideal. Not only can you rent paddleboards and kayaks by the hour, they also offer SUP (stand up paddleboard) lessons and group outings, SUP fitness and yoga classes, and SUP tours.

Flyboard North Texas

Last – but definitely not least – is Flyboard North Texas. If you haven’t heard of it, a flyboard is a water-propelled jet pack that straps to your feet, allowing you to fly up to 72 feet in the air. Riders can also move horizontally, dipping in and out of the water like a dolphin. Flyboard North Texas offers a 30-minute and 60-minute package, as well as group packages. Of course, if sticking closer to home is more your speed, there are plenty of ways to explore the resort-style pool at Olympus at Ross in style.
