The hip Deep Ellum neighborhood in central Dallas is always a fun place to hang out, with its funky stores, great restaurants, and cool bars. But mark your calendar and plan to visit during the 2021 Deep Ellum Arts Festival from Sept. 10 to 12, when seven blocks of Main Street will host vendors, exhibits, live music, food, and much more.
Fine Arts on Display
The 2021 festival showcases more than 200 juried decorative and visual artists selling and commissioning original works. You’ll see sculptors, muralists, jewelers, painters, leather and wood crafters, and other fine artists displaying their work, and some will be creating pieces on the spot.
More Fun
There will also be plenty of musical talent on show, with 100 bands and musicians performing from four stages and two more performance areas. There will also be a variety of food and beverages (including beer and wine) available for purchase. Note that the organizers describe this event as “adult oriented,” and while supervised young children and teens are welcome during the day, there are no specific activities planned for them.
When & Where
The 2021 Deep Ellum Arts Festival will run from 11 AM to 11 PM Friday and Saturday, Sept. 10 and 11, and 11 AM to 7 PM Sunday, Sept. 12.
