History of the Collection
Back in the 1950s, Raymond and Patsy Nasher started collecting ancient artifacts from Latin America. Several years later, they expanded their love of art to include several purchases of modern sculpture. The couple wanted to surround themselves and their commercial properties with pieces that moved them.
It was those works that grew into what is now over 300 renowned pieces of three-dimensional art at the center. Artists include Joan Miró, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and so many others.
