One of the best things about living in Carrollton is the city’s commitment to cultivating community. You’ll see that in the events they plan, including Saturdays on the Square. On the second Saturday of each month, head over to the square and enjoy these fun free events.
Here’s what’s coming up.
Movie Night on August 14
On Aug. 14, enjoy a showing of the 2020 movie Onward (rated PG). This movie is all about brotherly love, mysterious events, life-changing obstacles, and, of course, adventure. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, a light jacket, and anything else you might need in order to feel comfortable.
Swing Band on September 11
Swing music aficionados are going to be in heaven at this event. The band will be playing at the gazebo. Bring a chair to sit and enjoy the concert – or perhaps bring a dance partner to show off your swing-dancing skills.
Painting on the Square on October 9
Do you love the creative process? The genius of artistic expression? At this event, you’ll be able to enjoy dinner, dessert, and live – artistic! – entertainment at the gazebo. Just remember to bring a lawn chair.
Cocoa for Coats on November 13
It’s so important to look out for one another, especially during the cold winter months. And thanks to a partnership with Metrocrest Services, this event will ensure that everyone in Carrollton stays warm year round. Give back to your community by bringing in lightly worn (or brand-new) winter coats, gloves, scarves, and hats. In exchange for your donations, you’ll receive a cup of cocoa kit.
Christmas Tunes & Gift Wrapping on December 11
As much fun as it is to give holiday gifts, wrapping them is probably the least exciting part of the process. So, get some friends together, and head over to the square, where gift-wrapping supplies will be available in a warm, fun, holiday environment.
