With the warmth of spring upon us, nothing hits the spot quite like a craft beer under the sun. If that sounds like your idea of a killer time, these four craft breweries in and around Carrollton, Texas, are worth a visit.
3 Nations Brewing Co.
This behemoth brewery in downtown Carrollton is one of the hottest hangouts in town. The 3 Nations crew did a masterful job repurposing an old grain shed into an 18,000-square-foot celebration of beer. It features a spacious, pet-friendly outdoor patio area perfect for spring meetups. 3 Nations’ beer lineup is strong as well, with sturdy staples like the Interstate Lager, a smooth Texas pilsner, and a handful of fun IPAs. Best of all, 3 Nations is literally right around the corner from Union at Carrollton Square.
Bitter Sisters Brewery
Just down the road in Addison, Bitter Sisters is a family-run brewery with a cozy taproom and diverse beer lineup that hits all the right notes. Highlights include the Hissy Fit Marzen lager, the hoppy Hot Temper, and the bold Cat Fight IPA.
ODD Muse Brewing Company
This Farmers Branch brewery is all about culture and creativity. Look no further than the epic artistry that graces their cans. They have some pretty solid brews, too, including standouts like the Dressed for Success Helles lager, the Apprehended double dry-hopped hazy IPA, and the Mochanut imperial stout. ODD Muse boasts an amazing outdoor seating area featuring regular visits from various pop-up food vendors. They also host a variety of fun events, including trivia nights and live music performances.
Hop & Sting Brewing Co.
Hop & Sting, a small-batch brewer with a lively taproom, is a first-rate craft beer destination in Grapevine. Its flavors are fun and varied. Choose from local favorites such as the Frigid Underworld imperial espresso stout, the Remedio Southwest wit, and the Northeast Texas IPA.
