Looking up from a box full of canned goods at three smiling faces grabbing for the cans.

This holiday season as we prepare to gather around with our loved ones and give thanks, it’s important to remember others. Lend a hand, spread a little holiday cheer, and give back by helping out at one of these three Carrollton-area food banks. Many of those in need require assistance all year, not just during the holidays, so see what programs these local food banks might have available to start making a difference in the community now and beyond the holiday season.

Minnie’s Food Pantry

Minnie’s Food Pantry started in 2008 as a small way to give back, and has since then, has involved over 40,000 volunteers. Minnie’s and the many helping hands have helped provide over 15 million meals. If you’re looking for ways to give back this year, you can donate your time, money, or food to the local food pantry. Learn more about how you can help this holiday season on their website

The Store House of Collin County

The Storehouse of Collin County helps to feed, clothe, and care for those less fortunate. The Seven Pantry Food Pantry feeds over 1,600 families on a monthly basis. Find a way to help with a quick donation or by volunteering for one of their programs online
