TOP 3 GAME-WINNING SHOTS OF THE 2019-20 NBA SEASON

|

When we look at sporting events in the era of COVID, one thing is certain: We miss the crowds. While major sports franchises have done everything from having hundreds of live feeds of cheering fans to in-person attendance in limited numbers, we still miss the arenas and stadiums packed full of real-life people. Those big moments just don’t seem as big without them. Let’s relive some of the best moments from the last major American sports season to boast big crowds – the 2019-20 NBA campaign. Here are the three best game-winning shots of last season, featuring us, the fans.

3. Lucky Number 13

The Man

Zach LaVine

The Date

Nov. 23, 2019

The Shot

There are five seconds left on the clock and the Bulls are down by two. Zach LaVine ends up with the ball off a stolen Hornets inbound pass from under the basket. With 3.9 seconds left Zach scrambles to the corner and hits a 3-pointer with less than a second remaining to win the game.

The Final Score

Chicago Bulls 116, Charlotte Hornets 115

2. JC in OT

The Man

Jae Crowder

The Date

Oct. 27, 2019

The Shot

Down by two points with less than a second left on the clock and losing control of the ball, Ja Morant dumps it off to Jae Crowder, who pulls up for a 3-pointer a good yard behind the line to give the Grizzlies their first win of the season.

The Final Score

Memphis Grizzlies 134, Brooklyn Nets 133 (OT)

1. Be Humble. Sit Down.

The Man

Bojan “Bogi” Bogdanovic

The Date

Feb. 9, 2020

The Shot

After a hard-fought battle, the Jazz are down by two with just over a second on the clock. Bogi receives the inbound pass at center court, just beyond the 3-point line. With two defenders in his face, Bogi let’s it fly. Nothin’ but net. After the shot, PJ Tucker, one of the Bulls defending the play, just sits in the middle of the court, with a look on his face that screams, “I done messed up.”

The Final Score

Utah Jazz 114, Houston Rockets 113
