Are you searching for a place where you can meet artists and take fun classes?
If so, head to Little Art House.
Owned by sisters Emma Bradford and Leighton Lancaster, it provides endless opportunities for people to imagine and create in an encouraging environment.
Growing up, the sisters spent countless hours drawing, painting, and making Play-dough. Their warm memories of these activities are what motivated them to open Little Art House.
There are several artists in residence, and those not to be missed include:
Cindy Wunsch Bowen
After spending fifteen years on Nashville's music scene, Cindy Wunsch Bowen knew it was time for a change. She decided to teach art to elementary school kids and rediscovered her inner child. Today, Cindy paints from her home studio. She considers art an extension of her heart, and every piece is meant to evoke happiness, peace, and joy.
C.D. Charlton grew up in Gallatin and spent much of his childhood in his grandfather's wood shop. Wood is his surface media of choice, and he enjoys painting on thin birch and oak. C.D.'s work has a neon-rustic feel built on nostalgia, and he coats each piece with a high gloss varnish to bring out the true colors.
Meg Marano's paintings are inspired by her dreams and daily life. She creates with oils, acrylics, and watercolors, and invites the viewer to challenge their perspective of beauty. Meg is best known for creating colorful faces with distorted features, and each painting is unique.
The artists in residence teach a variety of classes, and there's something for everyone. Choices include Brush Lettering, Soft Pastels 101, and Nashville Skyline Acrylic Painting.
