The 2021 spring season brings fresh adventures in and around the Murfreesboro area. Check out Olympus Hillwood’s awesome list of things to do!
Explore Historic Landmarks
Murfreesboro was first settled in 1811, making historical landmark destinations easy to find. This spring, you’ll definitely want to check out the Stones River National Battlefield, Cannonsburgh Village, and Oaklands Mansion to learn all about Murfreesboro’s storied past.
Kick Back with a Brewski
From live music to brewery tours, Mayday Brewery is the perfect place to grab a cold one and kick back on their outdoor patio.
Walk or Bike the Stones River Greenway
Take in 5.7 miles of scenery along this peaceful stretch of Murfreesboro’s best out-and-back riverside trail system. Connecting historic landmarks, parks, waterways, and local neighborhoods, the Stones River Greenway (part of the The Murfreesboro Greenway System) offers plenty to see along the way.
Pick Fresh Berries at Batey Farms
Nothing says springtime more than picking fresh berries at a local Tennessee farm! Head just over 6 miles up the road from Olympus Hillwood to this 214-year old historic farm. From 10 AM to 5:30 PM you can PYO berries across their 4-acre strawberry patch (located at 5331 Baker Road). Be sure to swing by their farm retail store for other goodies and produce. And don’t forget to wear boots or not-so-nice shoes – it can get pretty muddy in the spring.
