It’s time again to enjoy the Christmas festivities at Gaylord Opryland. Never been? Well then, let us tell you all about this year’s best bets! But be sure to buy your tickets soon – due to social distancing guidelines, Gaylord Opryland is limiting capacity this year, so tickets are guaranteed to sell out.
Ice Tubing
Climb aboard an inflatable tube and rip down a 15-foot-high, ice-covered indoor hill. According to the Gaylord Opryland website, “it’s all the fun of sledding with the added speed of ice.” Yay.
Ice Bumper Cars
Like ice tubing, this activity is similar to another activity but with frozen water. The other activity, in this case, is regular bumper cars. The cool (get it?) thing about ice bumper cars is that they can move in any direction. Bump into the side of your significant other’s ride and they’ll shoot off sideways in the other direction. It’s better than relationship counseling!
Reindeer Encounters
Sounds like a dating app or the name of a Christmas music cover band, but it’s actually just as it sounds – Opryland doesn’t go for subtleties. How often have you gotten close and personal with a real reindeer before, though? Now’s your chance! You’ll also learn interesting things about these enchanted creatures. Like, did you know reindeer love to swim? Look, you’ve learned something already!
Merry Snoopy Christmas Scavenger Hunt
Most likely intended for people who brought along children (although, the website doesn’t specify), this seems like something that could also be fun for those who are simply young at heart. Win a fun souvenir when you complete the quest!
I Love Christmas Movies – An Immersive Pop-Up Experience
Did you love that stop-motion movie “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer,” when you were a kid? Or maybe you still love it today. How about “Elf,” “National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation,” or “The Polar Express?” If you answered yes to any of these classics, this is the event for you! Finally you can interact with all your favorites by exploring their sets, meeting characters face to face, listening to audio clips, and more.
A Location to Behold
If you’ve never visited Gaylord Opryland, you’re in for a unique treat.
