Wait, wasn’t it just Christmas? Somehow, it’s already March—but we’re here for it because March means St. Patrick’s Day is coming up fast. Where will you celebrate your faux (or fo’ real) Irish heritage this month?
St. Patrick’s Day Block Party
After a two-year hiatus (thanks, Covid), the Historic Springfield St. Patrick’s Day Block Party is back! Get ready to celebrate on Saturday, March 12, from noon to 6 PM. Food and drink vendors, local artists, and more will set up along the 1700 block of North Main Street. Enjoy live music, drinking games, and other St. Patrick’s Day fun at this free event.
St. Paddy’s 5K and 10K Run
Overachievers, this one’s for you! Sign up to run a 3.1- or 6.2-mile route starting and ending at Evergreen Cemetery on Sunday, March 13, at 8 AM. Registration is $40 in advance or $50 on race day, and all finishers will be awarded a pot of gold—in the form of a participation medal. We’d love to join you but…
Wicked Barley Brewing Company
When St. Patrick’s Day finally arrives on Thursday, March 17, if you haven’t gotten your fill of green beer yet, head to Wicked Barley Brewing Company from 6 to 10 PM. Groove to live music from Flo J as you nosh on Irish stew, green pretzels, and pots de creme. Wash it all down with Green Left Leg Lager, a shamrock slush, or Irish Coffee Brown Ale—or one of each. But if you’re planning on that, it’s probably best to just request the next day off work now. We’ll see you there!
