The largest municipal park in the Lower 48, South Mountain offers panoramic views of the city skyline. Just south of the Phoenix metropolitan area, it offers easy access. There’s any number of great spots to stop and admire a sunset, but a short hike or drive up to Dobbins Lookout offers the best views.

This 140-acre botanical garden contains over 50,000 plants that are native to the American Southwest. Come early to see all the flora and stay for spectacular views as the sunsets against a backdrop of saguaro cacti and nearby red buttes.

A short drive northeast from Phoenix, the Four Seasons Resort at Troon North sits snug against Pinnacle Peak. The resort is 1,000 feet higher than downtown Phoenix, which means you are set up for some of the most amazing views of the sun setting over the city and the nearby landscape.
