Thanks to the North Platte River, the crowning jewel of central Wyoming, you have plenty of opportunities to enjoy water sports in Casper. North Platte River Access Points

Alcova Lake

Located 33 miles southwest of Casper on Highway 220, Alcova Lake is one of Casper's most popular spots for boaters, water sports enthusiasts, and anyone looking to have fun in the sun. Alcova Resort is a locally-owned business offering rentals for paddle boarding, kayaking, and boating.

Pathfinder Reservoir

The Pathfinder Reservoir is on the North Platte River, about 47 miles outside Casper. Its expansive water and 117 miles of shoreline provide unmatched opportunities for on-the-water fun. The Pathfinder Reservoir is an excellent location for boating, tubing, canoeing, and other outdoor activities.
