3 CAN'T-MISS MOUNTAIN BIKING TRAILS NEAR CASPER

|

Outdoor adventure is always within reach in Central Wyoming. One of our favorite pastimes at Granite 550 is mountain biking – and there are no shortage of trails to choose from in and around Casper. Here are a few of our favorites.

Casper Mountain

Casper Mountain is home to more than 10 miles of trails – everything from easy greens up to harrowing double-black diamonds. Marvel at sweeping views of the Central Wyoming landscape when you’re not testing your lungs on the trails. This challenging trail system tops out at more than 8,000 feet, so be ready to put your stamina to the test.

Crossroads Park Trail

For a closer-to-town mountain bike adventure, check out the Crossroads Park Trail system. This mostly beginner network features 5 or so miles of fast and flowy terrain that serves up breathtaking views of the North Platte River.

Glendo State Park

About an hour east of Casper is Glendo State Park, which boasts a trail system with about 40 miles of trail. Many of the trails run alongside Glendo Reservoir and the Platte River, making for some stunning views. Baldy Mountain to the east also provides some excellent scenic fodder. You can choose your level of adventure here, too, with a balanced mix of easy, intermediate, and challenging trails.
