Take A Nature Walk at These Jacksonville Parks
Walking is a great way to get exercise while enjoying the best nature has to offer. If you're looking for parks near you where you can take a refreshing walk through nature, look no further. Here are three walkable Jacksonville parks near our Cape House apartments in Jacksonville.
Memorial Park
Downtown Jacksonville's Memorial Park is noteworthy in more ways than one. The park is nearly one century old and in a scenic location along the St. Johns River. You can walk along the park's quarter-mile looped path which is perfect for a stroll with a view. There are plenty of benches to take a break when needed, and you can also catch some great recreational activities like concerts and pick-up soccer games. On top of all that, the historic nature of the park means that when you visit you can also admire structures from as early as the early 20th century!
Losco Regional Park
A bit further out from downtown, Losco Regional Park's 210 acres of green space has plenty to offer. Take a nature hike along 3 miles of trails that wind through varied forest and wetland scenery. When you're tired out from walking, you can grab a snack from the park's concession stand and take a breather at one of their picnic shelters. Once you've rested up, you can even join a pick-up game of soccer on their designated fields!
Ed Austin Regional Park
Whether you feel like walking or want to change things up with a different outdoor activity, this Jacksonville park has lots of great options for you. Ed Austin Regional Park's urban green space hosts a walking trail, a dog park and picnic areas, but also has amenities for a variety of sports that you can try during your visit. In fact, it holds the city's biggest disc golf course!
