Check Out the Gilbert Water Tower
Most cities light things up across town for the holidays. In Gilbert, the entire water tower gets lit up for all celebrated special occasions. Located nearby our Gilbert apartments, check out the water tower and discover why it's one of the city's main attractions throughout the year.
The Lights Change for All Special Occasions
The Gilbert Water Tower does not stay one color for all occasions that get celebrated. Instead, every holiday, event, and commemoration gets its color. It even flashes between shades of green and red during the winter holiday. You'll see the tower change for Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Veteran's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day, just to name a few.
Any Town Resident Can Request a Lighting
Suppose there is a particular event or day you would like to remember. In that case, you can put in an application for a specific color change to the tower on the day in question. You must request at least 14 days in advance. For example, the DDX3X Foundation requested a change to purple to show between June 11th and June 13th for National DDX3X Awareness Day. The FRAXA Research Foundation requested teal for World Fragile X Day on July 22nd.
It Provides a Backdrop for Many Town Events
Whether lit or not, the Gilbert Water Tower provides a beautiful backdrop to many town events. The pop-up skating rink the town erects at certain times throughout the year sits nearby so the tower can be seen behind it. The city's splash pad is also in front of it, and it's the main attraction even with other events going on around it.
With a walking workout so ideal for getting fit, take a walk near the water tower during the town's holidays and events to see what color it changes to next. It's a simple way to experience joy in town, near our Gilbert apartments. If you're interested in joining the community at Vistara at SanTan Village, contact us to learn more.
