If you’re looking for a special place to take your four-legged friend, look no further. We’ve rounded up the three best dog parks in Gilbert for you.
Cosmo Dog Park
This beautiful and fun location is all about the amenities. The park has dog-washing stations, pet drinking fountains, restrooms for the two-leggeds and waste disposal for the four-leggeds. With its well-lit paths, it’s safe and easy to navigate at night. And it provides pet owners with separate areas for active dogs so smaller, slower, or older pets can have a safe space in which to play. Oh, and did we mention the lake? That’s right, this 17-acre park’s standout feature is its reclaimed water lake.
Crossroads Park
This beautiful park features sports fields, walking paths, and yes, another lake. Though its dog-friendly area is smaller than Cosmo’s, it has similar features, from drinking water for you and your pup to running areas that separate active and timid dogs. It’s a great place to go if you want to be surrounded by the active Gilbert community.
Shawnee Bark Park
Okay, it’s technically not in Gilbert, but it’s less than 10 miles away in nearby Chandler, and this park is so spectacular, it must be included on this list. Here, you’ll find a doggie obstacle course that includes a seesaw, hurdles, a tunnel, and a balance beam – it’s the same park the local police department uses to train their K-9 Team. In other words, it’s legit. The park is open well into the night, giving you plenty of time to enjoy a stroll (or run through the course) after work.
