With summer in full swing and the heat on, it’s time to look for fantastic indoor adventures to spend your days. Here are our three recommended favorite indoor adventures to explore and get to know.
FlipSide is not your typical entertainment complex, with 50,000 square feet it answers every silly desire you have for fun.
FlipSide features a robust number of options for indoor play and serves up the perfect venue for a little friendly competition. Here you can bowl, play laser-tag in a two story arena, spend hours in the arcade, drive bumper cars, shoot pool, discover the fun of crash pods, and more. You’ll also be able to enjoy pub-style foods like stacks of onion rings and burgers that seem bigger and better than anywhere else on the planet.
The Windmill Winery
Signature wines, beautiful grounds, and knowledgeable staff make this a must-visit spot. The Windmill’s vintners rely on grapes that thrive in the desert terrain and produce classics like bold Zinfandels, throaty Cabernets, and refreshing Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Moscato wines. They’ve also created a few of their own varietals and offer reds and whites made with a choice blend of these specially-grown grapes. Join a guided tour to learn more about wine or simply sit and taste.
Aside from wine, the owners hold monthly events and host private parties in their historic barn known fittingly as The Big Barn. We call it spectacular with its vaulted ceilings supported by wooden arches.
Pinal County Historical Society & Museum
The Pinal County Historical Museum opened its doors in 1959 with a focus on the history of the local area. Discover the past with robust exhibits about Native American life, the lifestyle of early settlers to San Tan Valley, and prison artifacts that have been collected through the decades. Or, rediscover your roots with their reference library. It was the wild west at one-time and an afternoon spent rediscovering the past is a great way to escape the summer heat.
