Our residents at The Ranch at Shadow Lake have many unique dining options nearby. One of those places is The Lemon Tree, a Peruvian restaurant. Open since September 2014, the Lemon Tree serves a wide variety of authentic Peruvian food along with several other unique creations.
The Lemon Tree has a huge selection of dishes. Start out with one of their appetizers. You can try traditional dishes like tamales or fried yucca, or order something more unique such as the Salchipapas (fried pieces of hot dogs with a side of french fries). If you love seafood, try out one of their dozen types of ceviches, made with a wide variety of seafood and marinated in one of several different marinades. These dishes are so good that The Lemon Tree's ceviche was recognized by the Houston Press as the best in town.
The Lemon Tree also has a large selection of entrees. Try dishes like the Lomo a la Pimienta (beef tenderloin covered in a peppered cream sauce), the Aji de Gallina (shredded chicken breast mixed in a special spicy sauce made with parmesan cheese, cream, and walnuts), or the Seafood Paella. They even have several different types of spaghetti if you want to try something unique! The Lemon Tree serves a wide variety of natural juices and also allows you to bring your own wine or beer to enjoy their delicious entrees.
Check out their lunch specials, such as a Peruvian sandwich, salad or fries, and drink for just $12 from Tuesday through Friday. Or drop by on Friday nights for live music.
