If you enjoy reading, don't miss visiting Interabang Books.
This independent bookstore opened in 2017 with over 12,000 titles, and it takes its name from the symbol that combines a question mark and an exclamation point.
Interabang welcomes dozens of authors every year for signings and book release celebrations. Those visiting over the next several weeks include:
Join Martha Hall Kelly as she celebrates her newest novel Lost Roses. This book is the prequel to Lilac Girls and was inspired by true events. It follows three brave women from the Tsar's palaces of St. Petersburg to the Russian neighborhoods of Paris to the estates of Southampton, New York, all while taking readers on an incredible journey through history. The event starts at 7:00 p.m. and tickets include a copy of the book.
Don't miss Louis Bayard when he comes to Dallas to sign Courting Mr. Lincoln. This page-turner tells the story of a young Abe Lincoln and the two people who loved him both: Mary Todd and his best friend, Joshua Speed. It's told in the alternating voices of Mary and Joshua and features rich, historical detail.
New York Times bestselling author Austin Kleon will visit Interabang to both sign and present his new book, Keep Going. It's known as his most inspiring work and gives readers life-changing illustrated advice on how to stay creative and focused. Austin's works have been featured on NPR's Morning Edition and PBS NewsHour, as well as in the New York Times. He calls Texas home and also speaks to organizations such as Google and Pixar about creativity in the digital age.
