Martial arts classes are an excellent way to increase your fitness level while at the same time improving your mental discipline, self-confidence, and self-defense skills.
If you would like to try martial arts, here are three studios that offer unparalleled instruction:
Dallas Academy of Martial Arts
The Dallas Academy of Martial Arts has been a local fixture since 1980. Its mission is to provide the best martial arts instruction in the city, and the assistant instructors started their training in first or second grade and are the rank of 2nd Dan. They teach students skills that will help them grow both physically and mentally, and everyone can progress at their own pace. Group classes are held four days a week, and private lessons and trial classes are available by appointment.
Pro Martial Arts
At Pro Martial Arts, the curriculum is made up of techniques drawn from the Korean martial arts of Tang Soo Do, Taekwondo, and Hapkido. The instructors help students structure their own fitness regime that is both efficient and comfortable, and all of the classes are designed to condition the whole body during one session. Adults can learn new skills Monday through Thursday, and belt testing is held on Fridays.
Freddie Poole's Martial Arts
Freddie Poole's Martial Arts opened in 2014 and has since improved thousands of lives in the community. The studio is known for offering the most balanced martial arts training program, and all students are evaluated individually to ensure they move to the next rank on their own merit. Founder Freddie Poole earned his first-degree black belt in 1986, and today he trains under 8th-degree Brazilian jiu-jitsu master Carlos Machado. The traditional adult program is complemented by modern techniques, and new students see an improvement in coordination and flexibility in just a few weeks.
Along with these martial arts studios, our apartments in downtown Dallas are also near delicious restaurants and top outdoor attractions. To call our community home, please contact us to arrange a tour where you can see the property firsthand.
