If you enjoy listening to music, then you don't want to miss the Bloomin' Bluegrass Festival.
It takes place in nearby Farmers Branch on October 19th and 20th, and in 2017, it was an IBMA nominee for Bluegrass Event of the Year.
The lineup includes:
The Gibson Brothers
Voted the 2013 Entertainers of the Year at the IBMA World of Bluegrass Awards Show, the Gibson Brothers know how to keep audiences on their feet. They perform throughout the United States and have released more than ten albums resulting in dozens of hit songs. Their repertoire includes "Making Good Time," "Remember Who You Are," and "I Can't Breathe Deep Yet."
The Seldom Scene
Made up of five talented musicians, The Seldom Scene formed in Bethesda, Maryland in 1971. Their shows combine bluegrass versions of country, pop, and rock, and they played a key role in starting the progressive bluegrass movement. The Seldom Scene brings a signature sound and a sense of fun to the stage, which is why they have remained popular for more than forty years. Sing along to songs such as "He Took Your Place," "By the Side of the Road," and "Dreaming of a Little Cabin."
Texas & Tennessee
The members of Texas & Tennessee don't perform often, but when they do, they often draw a crowd. The guys are known for passionately playing classic bluegrass music, and they take inspiration from groups such as J.D. Crowe and The New South. Most bluegrass fans will recognize their songs, and John Bowman's lead vocals are a highlight of each set.
