Deep Vellum Books
An independent bookseller located in the heart of Deep Ellum in Dallas, the Deep Vellum Books features global independent publishers with local culture, music, and arts. As a pillar of the community, the store seeks to enhance the reach of local voices through the media of art, music, culture, film and, of course, writing. Established in 2016, Will Evans founded the shop in the heart of literary Dallas where ideas are discussed and debated to form a single community voice and a more luminous culture.
Since 2014, Wild Detectives offers a unique space for people to explore books, socialize, and share their voice. The shop takes its name from the esteemed novel by Roberto Bolaño, Los Detectives Salvajes (The Savage Detectives). Founded by Javier Garcia del Moral, who delivered a TedX Talk at the University of Texas at Arlington, the store features a bar serving wonderful drinks with the objective of engaging people socially to stimulate intellectual discourse.
