Discover Unique Finds at Antique Shops in Savannah

Everything has a story to tell. That is one of the many reasons why antiques are so intriguing. The history-rich city of Savannah is certainly a mecca for antique shopping with an eclectic mix of shops that have risen to the occasion. Here are a few of the antique shops in Savannah worth exploring:

Picker Joe’s

Fairly new on the scene of Savannah antiques, Picker Joe’s still holds a treasure trove of finds. Owner Jim Plumlee named his business after his dog when he discovered there was already a Peddler Jim's in town. The building was once a mattress factory and is located in downtown Savannah at 217 East 41st Street. The whimsical vintage market is surprisingly organized and teeming with local vendors who are happy to call the venue home.

Wright Square Retro Mall

Featuring over 30 local dealers, Wright Square Vintage and Retro Mall touts the motto "something for everyone". An antique hunter's paradise, everything in the mall is handpicked by knowledgeable experts. The mall has a strong reputation for keeping the prices affordable with an eclectic inventory that changes daily, so no two visits here will ever be the same. Their specialty is home decor, but shoppers can also find unique art and jewelry pieces. Wright Square is located at 14 West State Street, right in the heart of Savannah.

Habersham Antiques Market

Located in a wonderful historic building, Haversham Antiques Market once housed Smith Brothers, a 1927 grocery mart. Habersham has maintained and refurbished much of the original architecture and historic details, bringing together more than 70 dealers under the roof with a variety of quality primitives and vintage merchandise. Habersham specializes in antique lampshades with an entire section of the store devoted to these unique pieces. The friendly staff is always available to offer their expertise and are located at 2502 Habersham Street.

Alex Raskin Antiques

Antiquing in Savannah would not be complete without making a stop to Alex Raskin Antiques. Mr. Raskin has been selling antiques in the old and somewhat crumbling Noble-Hardee mansion at 441 Bull Street for over twenty-five years. Walking through the door is like entering the twilight zone. The huge edifice of the home is packed to the rafters with some spectacular one-of-a-kind pieces. You'll definitely want to take your time wandering through the many rooms filled with peculiar momentos and treasures all around.

These are just a few of the eclectic shops in the unique and vibrant city of Savannah. If you’re looking for an elegant community to call home, contact our leasing consultants to arrange a personal tour of our incredible amenities and grounds.
