Did you know that Savannah is home to the largest musical event in Georgia?
We're talking about the Savannah Music Festival, taking place March 29th through April 14th.
It will feature five hundred of the world's finest musicians, and earn media coverage from publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Times (London), and the Toronto Star.
Pat Martino Quintet (March 29)
It was in 1961 when Pat Martino burst onto Philadelphia's rich jazz scene. He has become known as one of the most prolific guitarists and is renowned for his advanced knowledge of jazz theory. When he performs with his quintet, songs include "If I Should Lose You," "Twisted Blues," and "Full House."
Antonio Zambujo (March 31)
Antonio Zambujo is an internationally acclaimed fado singer and guitar player. He grew up in Beja, Portugal where he listened to fado greats such as Alfredo Marceneiro and Amalia Rodrigues. Today, he tours extensively throughout Europe and South America. Antonio's performance at the festival marks his Savannah debut, and his repertoire includes "Vive De Ouvido," "Zamba Del Olvido," and "Ultimo Desejo."
