Chef Darin Sehnert
Chef Darin's interest in cooking began at a young age as both his mother and grandmother enjoyed spending time in the kitchen.
He later attended Johnson & Wales University where he a obtained a culinary degree, and during his internship, he headed overseas to work at one of London's upscale Mediterranean restaurants.
Over the years, Darin has worked as a sous chef at Walt Disney World and made appearances on both HGTV and the Food Network.
In 2015, he opened Chef Darin's Kitchen Table, and he states that it's where students learn to cook between the lines.
There are a variety of classes to choose from, and all take place in state-of-the-art kitchens. Choices include:
Northern Italy (February 16) - Learn about northern Italy's many dishes and discover how they differ from those found in other Italian regions. The chef will teach you the techniques for making a delicious braise and creating a simple, yet flavorful dessert. You'll also learn how supermarket balsamic vinegar compares to artisanal balsamic vinegar. The menu includes braised veal shanks, Risotto Milanese, and peppered balsamic strawberries.
Low Country Fried Chicken Social (February 23) - This class is where students prepare the menu of a typical Low Country social gathering, while at the same time learn about the cultural and social influences of the regional cuisine. The menu includes buttermilk fried chicken, coleslaw, and Savannah red rice.
Four Seasons of Soup (March 8) - Impress your family and friends with delicious homemade soup. Chef Darin will share four recipes and demonstrate how to make Australian damper bread. Soups include Asian chicken curry and smoked tomato bisque.
