Klyde Warren Park
Spanning just over five acres, Klyde Warren Park connects the Uptown neighborhood with the Dallas Arts District and downtown. It opened in 2012 and offers free daily programming that ranges from yoga to outdoor concerts and films. Visitors can also enjoy an array of other activities such as croquet, petanque, and chess.
White Rock Lake Park
Encompassing just over one thousand acres, White Rock Lake is one of the most heavily used parks in the city. It's the site of many special events and is a great place to experience natural areas in an urban setting. The park offers a wide range of active and passive activities, and the fun includes kayaking, bird watching, and exploring the Dallas Arboretum.
It was in 1915 when Reverchon Park was built on Woodchuck Hill straddling Turtle Creek. The ballpark opened in 1920, and when the grandstand was constructed four years later, it earned the reputation as the best baseball field in the city. Today, visitors can play organized sports, as well as hike, bike, and picnic.
Nestled just east of downtown, Fair Park features cultural, educational, and sports facilities that welcome more than seven million visitors every year. It opened in 1886 during the Dallas State Fair, and one hundred years later, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Highlights include swan boats, the Texas State Ferris Wheel, and the Fair Park Band Shell which offers an array of live acts.
