The Dallas / Fort Worth area is an incredibly diverse metropolitan area built on the influence of many different cultures. Food is one of the universal aspects of our lives that is easily relatable over cultural boundaries. Here are three unique food-focused festivals coming up near our Dallas apartments.
Vitruvian Salsa Festival
Every Saturday in August beginning on the 4th, the Vitruvian Park Amphitheater will host the Vitruvian Salsa Festival from 6 pm to 10 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Although 'Salsa' in the title refers to the Spanish-inspired dance, there will be gourmet food trucks on site for you to enjoy while you dance and experience live bands and DJs.
Food Truck Fridays
Join Fort Worth's Food Truck Fridays every week in August at Prairie Vista Park on North Riverside Drive from 7 pm to 10 pm. Each week features new food trucks and you can expect to see: Get Laod, Crown Taco, Hook and Ladder, Kings Street Grill, Walt Garrison BBQ, and Sweetfrog Premium Frozen Yogurt. There will also be live music from a local DJ so bring a chair or a blanket.
Bedford Blues and BBQ Festival
This is a multi-day event from August 31 to September 2 that celebrates Texas' unique history of blues music and classic barbecue. Friday night features free admission and tickets are only $7 on Saturday and Sunday. There will be endless entertainment at this event including the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band and the BBQ Triple Play competition where attendees can sample some of the best barbecue in the nation.
There are dozens of other food festival events throughout the year in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. Contact us to learn more about living downtown at Mosaic Dallas and to schedule a tour of our community so you can be "living the high life" with us.
