Our Latest News
As the air gets cooler and the leaves begin to turn, it can be comforting to have your interior match what’s going on outside. While seasonal décor is often associated with over-produced, cheesy items, there are actually plenty of tasteful ways to adorn your home for fall without losing your own sense of style in the process. We’re breaking down our favorite items to bring a subtle touch of autumn into your home this season.
Don’t get us wrong, we’ll never fully turn our back on the classic orange pumpkin, but when it comes to interior decorating, a white pumpkin can be a little easier on the eyes. If you love a minimalist look, white pumpkins can be the perfect mantel or shelf addition. They look great alongside house plants and candles, and generally fit in well with whatever type of color scheme you already have going. And, if you’re committed to tradition, you can simply add one or two white pumpkins into the mix with your orange display.
If you’re a little bit over the pumpkin spice craze, or get overpowered easily by sweet-smelling candles, we hear you. However, that doesn’t mean you’re out of options for warm, fall scents. Look out for candles with earthier notes like balsam fir, amber, or sandalwood for a subtle aroma that celebrates the season without overwhelming your senses. Right now, we’re loving this one from Anthropologie.
There’s nothing quite like snuggling up under warm blankets as you drift off to sleep, and one of the best perks of chillier months is being able to indulge in cozy new bedding. If you’re hesitant to deck out your home with seasonal flair only to have to change it over in a few months, a set of sheets may be the answer for you. You’ll get all the benefits of a cozy night’s sleep without having to rearrange your entire living room color scheme. We highly recommend these Heritage Chamois sheets from L.L. Bean for a soft, warm night’s sleep.
If you want a bit of a seasonal touch, but aren’t interested in a total décor overhaul, throw pillows are the ideal non-committal way to decorate for fall. The goal is to make your space look comfortable, warm, and inviting, and the addition of a few cushy pillows to your couch can do just that. Plaid is a great option for fall, and we’re also loving these velvet pillow covers from West Elm in Golden Oak and Pink Grapefruit.
