Just fifteen minutes from Auburn Lakes is a destination that's voted one of the top attractions in Texas each year.
We're talking about Old Town Spring, and it's renowned for hosting the Texas Crawfish & Music Festival every April.
It's also home to dozens of shops and restaurants including:
Lana Williams Gallery
For more than 25 years, the Lana Williams Gallery has specialized in decorative iron home furnishings. The staff is friendly and enjoys helping customers find the right pieces for their home. The selection includes lamps, iron drapery tiebacks, and colorful works of art.
Old Town Spring Tasting Room
Founded in 1983, the Old Town Tasting Room offers both local and out of state wines. It's complete with a rustic atmosphere, and one Friday a month, guests can watch a movie while sipping wine and sharing snacks. Wines include Sweet Blush, Double Rouge, and Texas Summer Night.
Called one of the "Top Barbecue Restaurants in the South" by Southern Living Magazine, CorkScrew is where everything is made from scratch daily including the sauces. The restaurant's motto is "Quality Over Quantity," and it offers a backyard barbecue feel. On the menu, guests find meats such as brisket, ribs, and turkey breast, and they pair well with the creamy potato salad.
Puffabelly's Old Depot Restaurant
Puffabelly's has welcomed hungry diners since 1995. It's where friends often meet for a night of fun as it's known for offering good food, good times, and good music. Open mic night is held every Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and the Davin James Songwriter Showcase will return in the fall. The menu includes shredded cheeseburgers, chicken fried chicken, and Gulf shrimp.
