Founded in 1910, the Natrona County Library "promotes literacy and supports discovery and creation." It's where the community comes to find new authors, enjoy fun classes, and much more. Here is some of what the library offers near our Casper apartments:
Book Discussion Groups
The book discussion groups offer a fun way to discover new authors while meeting new friends. Reading the West celebrates the rich history of Wyoming and the West. It features books by western authors and meets on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. If you'd rather read young adult fiction, join the Never Too Old Club on the second Tuesday of each month. These are just two of the book clubs you can enjoy.
Professional Video & Podcasting Studio
New to the library, the Professional Video & Podcasting Studio offers state-of-the-art podcasting equipment. It can easily be configured for two people. The studio welcomes both new and experienced podcasters to come and share stories, interview guests, and more. Best of all, it's completely free.
Creation Station
A community makerspace, Creation Station is where you can bring out your inner artist. Learn new skills or build on existing ones. The space has everything you need to work on DIY projects, and the friendly team will gladly help. The equipment includes 3D printers, sewing machines, and rotary cutters.
Books Set in Wyoming
The library features several books set in Wyoming. Don't miss reading The Wyoming Kid. Penned by Debbie Macomber, it tells the story of rancher Lonny Ellison who is constantly arguing with his sister's best friend, Joy. They claim not to be interested in each other, but they're both hiding their true feelings. Curl up on your couch and find out how this quick and fun read ends.
After visiting the library, stop by a pizzeria for a few slices of your favorite pie. Finally, to call The Preserve at Greenway Park home, please contact us. Our leasing team will offer a tour where you can see our apartments in Casper firsthand.
