While Casper College is known for offering a great education, it also features museums, galleries, and more that welcome the public to come and explore. When you're ready to spend a fun-filled day on campus, here is some of what you can discover near our Casper apartments:
Tate Geological Museum
Founded in 1980, the Tate Geological Museum features an impressive collection of fossils and minerals. It draws visitors from near and far. They come to explore exhibits and enjoy fun educational programs. Before you leave, shop for unique finds at the museum's gift store. The selection includes books and items for those who like rocks, dinosaurs, fossils, or minerals.
Werner Wildlife Museum
At the Werner Wildlife Museum, the mission is to "promote learning and appreciation for Earth's natural history." Herman Walker founded the museum in 1964. Six years later, he donated the building and collection to the college. Over the years, the collection has grown to include nearly 400 birds, fish, and animals. The museum also features a garden and a picnic area and, at times, hosts fun seasonal events. It's open Monday through Friday between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Admission is free.
Casper College Writing Center
Found in Strausner Hall, the Casper College Writing Center is open to any writer in the Casper community. The team helps with course assignments and personal writing projects. Their goal is to "engage you in a conversation about your writing," and assist with all aspects of the process, from brainstorming to a final draft. Sessions usually last between 30 and 50 minutes. Services are free.
After exploring Casper College, enjoy dinner at a nearby pizzeria. If you would like to call The Preserve at Greenway Park home, please contact our leasing team. They will gladly show you everything our apartments in Casper have to offer.
