Thanks to its proximity to Salt Lake City, there’s always something fun to do in or near South Jordan. Here’s what’s coming up this month.
Lucky 13 Half Marathon
Head over to Gardner Village in West Jordan on Saturday, March 19, for the Lucky 13 Half Marathon. It’s a great way to ring in spring and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. You’ll get a green shirt and top hat to run in, because this event is less about speed and more about fun. Register today!
The Sound of Music
This is a must-see event for all your musical lovers. The Sound of Music will be showing at the Egyptian Theater in Park City starting on March 25. This is one of the most beloved of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s collaborations, and one of the most famous musicals of all time. Watch Maria try to wrangle the unruly von Trapp children and win the heart of their stoic father, during the rise of Nazi power in Austria. You’ll no doubt find yourself singing along to these familiar lyrics and perhaps shedding a tear as the von Trapps face the hardest decision they will ever make.
Salt Lake Home & Garden Show 2022
On March 11 through 13 at the Mountain America Expo Center in Sandy is the annual Salt Lake Home & Garden Show. It’s the perfect resource for those who love playing around with home décor or creating beautiful gardenscapes – even on balconies and patios. Many will no doubt be attending just to see this year’s celebrity guest speaker, Ty Pennington, from TV’s Trading Spaces.
2022 International Sportsmen’s Expo
Head over to Sandy’s Mountain America Expo Center March 17 through 20 for this year’s Sportsmen’s Expo. If you love the outdoor experience, this event is for you. You’ll find all the latest camping, fishing, and hunting gear. Best of all, you can try before you buy, receive hands-on instruction, and enjoy a few competitions, as well.
Carol Burnett Live at the Eccles
You won’t want to miss this chance to see a comedy legend in action. Carol Burnett will be at the Eccles Theater on March 28 and 29. Burnett will reflect on her career and answer audience questions.
