We’re big fans of No-Shave November here at Olympus at the District. Join this month-long movement, which helps raise awareness and funds for the fight against cancer, by growing your beard out, and you might just win a prize. When the month is done, email us a picture of your clean-shaven face (preferably taken on Nov. 1) AND an updated photo on Nov. 30 so we can see how much your beard has grown. The winner receives a beard basket of goodies!
In the meantime, let us sing the praises of this glorious month. Here are four reasons why we think it’s awesome.
It’s a Fun Concept
The gist of No-Shave November is this: You stop shaving and grooming for a month “in order to evoke conversation and raise cancer awareness.” Always wanted to grow a beard but were too embarrassed? Now’s your chance. And it’s for a great cause!
It Helps Fight Cancer
No-Shave November helps raise awareness and funds to help in the fight against cancer. We’ve all known someone who’s fought that fight.
You Don’t Have to Do Anything
No-Shave November is all about putting away your razor for 30 days and doing nothing. Not exactly difficult. Do nothing and support a worthy cause at the same time? Sign us up. Take all that money you save on grooming and donate it to help fight cancer. Proceeds benefit Fight Colorectal Cancer, St. Jude’s Research Hospital, and Prevent Cancer Foundation.
It Sparks Creativity
Just because you’re taking a break from shaving doesn’t mean you have to forgo creativity. Grab some dye and go crazy or grab some gel and dream up some crazy configurations.
