3 MUST-VISIT HAUNTED HOUSES CLOSE TO HOME

|

The Salt Lake City area is home to some seriously awesome haunted houses. We’re not talking rinky-dink operations here, either. These are full-fledged factories of fear, all complete with cutting-edge technology, professionally trained actors, and scream-inducing special effects. Here are three of the area’s best haunted house attractions. No matter which you visit, you can’t go wrong. And, heck, why not hit up all three?

SLC Fear Factory

You’ll find this six-building, six-story high monstrosity of a haunted house in the heart of Salt Lake City’s industrial district. SLC Fear Factory is one of the top-rated haunted houses in the world, and it’s right here in Utah. If you haven’t been and are a fan of a good scare, be sure to check it out.

Dead City Haunted House

High-tech animatronic monsters. Awe-inspiring special effects. Crazy detailed sets designed to pack a fright. Dead City Haunted House, a 30,000-square-foot attraction with more than 60 rooms, goes all out to get your adrenaline pumping. And that it does. From the intricately costumed actors to the unbelievably detailed sets and terrifyingly on-point animatronic creatures, Dead City delivers an immersive experience that feels all too authentic.

Nightmare on 13th

This ever-evolving attraction features 35,000 square feet of frightful fun. They change up themed areas every year to keep things fresh, offering up all sorts of special effects and animatronic shenanigans to keep visitors on their toes. Nightmare on 13th has received national acclaim, garnering mentions in Haunted Attraction Magazine, USA Today, and on the Travel Channel.
