Highland Park Village’s The Spoke Bike Park is nearly finished – and it’s worth a spin! The park’s pump track, set among a picturesque grove, is up and rolling. But don’t let the name fool you. You don’t have to be a biker to get in on the fun. Here are four ways to enjoy this gem of a park on Sandbank Way in South Jordan.
Bike
Yes, we just said you don’t have to be a biker to get in on the fun, but the banked turns and rollers at The Spoke are so much fun on a bike. Plus, it’s a great place to perfect your technique between trips to local mountain bike trails.
Board
Skateboards are welcome at The Spoke, and it’s the perfect spot for a little freestyle fun.
Blade
That’s right. Like so many 1990s’ fads, Inline skates are back! Dust off your old blades and hit up The Spoke.
Strider Bikes & Scooters
You don’t need pedals to tackle the track at The Spoke. The miniest of adventurers can test their mettle here, too.
What’s in Store for The Spoke?
The pump track is just the beginning for The Spoke, which will soon debut three new adventure areas, including sections of dirt track filled with fun features. All told, the course at The Spoke will cover a half-mile along the neighborhood’s Loop trail system. Keep tabs on the park’s progress in real time by visiting the park between sunrise and sunset.
