It’s that time of year again! Whether you’re Irish or not, raise your glass with an enthusiastic sláinte and check out one of these options for celebrating St. Patrick’s Day.
42nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade & Siamsa
The Hibernian Society of Utah is hosting this beloved event in Salt Lake City on Saturday, March 12, at 11 AM. The theme this year seems more on point than ever: New Beginnings. After a rough couple of years, residents are ready to celebrate their resilience, in true Irish style. Following the parade is the siamsa, a Celtic festival. There, you’ll find Irish music, delicious food, and of course, plenty of beer.
5th Annual Lucky’s St. Patrick’s Day Pub Crawl
Now, you can’t have St. Patrick’s Day without a good pub crawl, can you? And with over 2,500 crawlers expected, you can bet this is going to be an epic celebration. It takes place on Saturday, March 19, from 4 PM to midnight. Participating pubs include Green Pig Pub, Quarters Arcade Bar, and Echo Night Club. And if the crawl isn’t enough to draw you in, how about the after-party? Or the costume contest that happens to have a $1,000 grand prize? Don’t miss this one – pick up your tickets today!
Paint St. Patty’s Beer Mugs
Get your creative juices running on March 16 at this fun class in Ogden. The admission fee covers supplies, including two beer mugs. You’ll get to give them your own St. Patrick’s Day style with the help of a little paint and instruction from Abbie of Gogh and Paint. Oh, and did we mention dinner and drinks are included? It’s a bit of a drive, but totally worth it for a fun evening exploring your creativity and enjoying good food and company.
Lucky 13 Half Marathon
Are you up for a “lucky 13?” (That’s a half-marathon, just in case you didn’t do the math.) If you’ve wanted to get some miles under your running shoes, this is the perfect opportunity. It takes place on Saturday, March 19, at 9 AM at Gardner Village in West Jordan. Get your tickets sooner rather than later, and when you’ve finished, be sure to head over to Lucky’s Pub Crawl to refuel.
