Celebrate all things summer and South Jordan at the SoJo Summerfest, coming to various sites around town Sept. 13-18. Traditionally held earlier in the year to ring in summer, this year’s Summerfest is instead a celebration of summer’s end. Here are three events you don’t want to miss.
Battle of the Bands
Rock out to the sounds of local musicians competing for a $5,000 cash prize and chance to open for Provo-based indie-pop band Spirit City at a Sept. 18 concert. Only the best make it to the Summerfast stage, where the survivors of two rounds of video competitions battle it out with 25-minute live sets. This is a can’t-miss event. You’ll be able to say you saw these amazing local acts before they hit it big.
