Spend the Afternoon Exploring Hiking Trails in Herriman

You’re Sure to Enjoy These Hiking Trails in Herriman

Whether you are a fan of hiking, nature walks, or biking outdoors, you will find a variety of different trails that will allow you to explore the natural beauty of Utah for yourself. If you prefer a causal one to three-mile walk or if you like to hike 15+ miles, there are trails in Herriman that will meet your needs. Explore the beautiful outdoors when you check out the hiking trails around our apartments in Herriman:

Blackridge Trailheads

Enjoy a gorgeous view of the nearby valley as you climb the Blackridge Trailheads. The higher up you choose to climb, the better the view will get. You can even scramble up the side trail to see the American flag that flies at the top during sunset (please note this is a challenging trail and is for more advanced walkers, climbers, and hikers). The Cannondale trail provides opportunities for those who wish to go off-road biking at an intermediate level as there are quite a few sage bushes blooming along the trail that can make the riding a bit more challenging than riding on other trails or on paved roads.

Juniper Crest Trailhead

The Juniper Crest Trailhead is home to a set of hiking trails that allows dogs to take to the trails with their owners for some great exercise for both human and furry friends. There is even a Short Trail Hiking Loop that's about 2.4 miles round trip for those looking for a quick run or a shorter hiking experience. It's recommended to visit in the daytime as the area is not the best lit to be walking or hiking at night. Please be sure to bring along a bag to pick up after your furry friend to keep the trails beautiful for everyone!

Yellow Fork Trailhead

The Yellow Fork Trailhead is home to several trails. The Yellow Main Loop is a modest seven-mile hike for those who are into intermediate-distance hiking. The elevations are modest for intermediate hikers, and it is a much less crowded trail once you get past the first mile of the hike. Many people also use these trails for horseback riding or mountain biking, both of which are welcome and allowed on the trails. Dogs are welcome on the trails as long as they are leashed and controlled. There are also no motorized vehicles like RVs, electric scooters, or bikes allowed on the trails.

No matter which types of trails you are looking for, you will find a trail that suits your needs near Olympus at the Canyons. Check out other outdoor activities around the neighborhood.
