FALL FUN: 4 EVENTS TO CHECK OUT THIS OCTOBER

|

If you’re looking for some fun things to do this season in and around the Dallas Fort Worth area, we’ve got some ideas for you. Here are a few events that belong on your calendar.

Water Lantern Festival

You won’t want to miss this incredible night on the river, filled with light, community, love, and hope. Head over to the Panther Island Pavilion on October 16 at 5:00 PM to enjoy the amazing food and music. At 7:30, lantern decorating begins and they’ll be launched onto the water half an hour later – a sight you will never forget. Purchase your tickets at the Water Lantern Festival website ahead of time. The ticket price covers the cost of collecting the lanterns after the event and picking up trash in the area, even that which was there before the event. In other words, your participation will help keep Fort Worth beautiful and you’ll get to have a whole lot of fun in the process.

Bell Fort Worth Alliance Air Show

After 30 years, you can bet that this air show is truly something to see. Get your tickets today for this event at the Fort Worth Alliance Airport on the weekend of October 23. The aerial shows run from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. You’ll also be able to enjoy the Landing Zone, 1.5 acres of beer and food vendors, simulators, and exhibitions.

Christmas in Cowtown

Get a head start on your holiday shopping at this four-day event at the Will Rogers Memorial Center. From Thursday October 14 through Sunday October 17, you’ll have access to more than 250 vendors from all across the country. It’s truly a one-stop shopping experience with a variety of items including antiques, clothing, children’s items, food, jewelry, art, and more. The proceeds from this event go directly to organizations that are working to improve the lives of children and families in Fort Worth and Tarrant County.

Cigar & Spirits Tasting

If you love premium cigars and high-end spirits, this is the event for you. In its third year, you will find it at the Panther Island Pavilion on Saturday October 9. You’ll have access to over 80 brands of cigars and spirits from Arturo Fuente to Johnnie Walker.
