Local parks offer spaces to enjoy the peacefulness of nature or jump into a bunch of fun activities. Whether you're an avid jogger or just enjoy going for a stroll, you can enjoy your favorite summertime activities at Holland Lake Park. Best of all, the park is located within 10 minutes of our Willow Park apartments. The park’s attractions include:

Trails

You'll encounter more than one mile of trails at Holland Lake Park. They include spots for observing nature as well as concrete jogging or walking trails. What's more, for bicycling, you can ride on one of the local hike and bike trails. 

Historical Displays

As a nod to the pioneer life and history of Texas, there are two historic log cabins on site. They date back to the 1800s. In the 1930s, the cabins were transported and moved to their current spot at the park. They are officially designated historical sites and a special part of our area's rich history.

Fishing at the Lake

Another awesome way to have fun at the park is through fishing at the lake. It's a part of Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's stock fishing bodies of water. That means that throughout the year, the Inland and Coastal Fisheries divisions add adult or fingerling fish to the pond. To fish, you just need to be at least 17 years old with a fishing license. There are two fishing poles per person maximum. You might catch rainbow trout, blue catfish, bass, and others.
