The largest water park in Houston, formerly known as Wet N Wild SplashTown is reopening as Six Flags Hurricane Harbor SplashTown this spring. Opening day is May 4 with limited hours until May 24th when the park will be open every day of the week.
Stay cool and have some thrills at SplashTown this summer. Here's the 4-1-1 on the H20 park, which is only 10 minutes south of The Woodlands.
RIDES
A brand new six-story water slide called Wahoo Wave will open this year. Four riders will plunge 30 feet down before looping over a huge waterfall and experiencing zero gravity. The ride joins eight other thrill rides, a wave pool, the lazy river, and a huge interactive treehouse. In total, there are over 40 attractions, meaning there's something for everyone to enjoy!
DINING
There are several options for food in the park. Favorites such as hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, tacos, and fajitas make great meals. They also serve funnel cakes, soft-serve ice cream, and Dippin Dots when you just want a snack. Alcoholic beverages are also available.
Outside food and drinks are not allowed with the exception of bottled water in a soft-sided cooler. However, you are welcome to picnic at your car and return to the park.
ADMISSION
Buying an adult ticket at the gate costs around $50. However, you can save a few dollars by purchasing your tickets online and save even more when you buy your ticket at least five days before your visit. Visitors under 42 inches tall may use a Junior admission ticket, which is around $35. Note that some rides have height restrictions, so a Junior ticket does not include those rides.
If you are planning on visiting Hurricane Harbor SplashTown more than once this year, it would benefit you to become a Season Pass Holder. In addition to unlimited visits in 2019, you will have perks such as free parking, bring-a-friend days, discounts, and skip-the-line passes. Payment plans are available as well.
