Zoo Lights returns to the Houston Zoo in 2020 with a timed entry system to allow for proper social distancing while enjoying the sights and sounds of the season. This year’s sparkling event continues through January 10, 2021, with lighted giraffes, flamingos, and dragons, oh my!
What to See & Do
While most of the zoo animals sleep, you can sip on hot chocolate as you stroll among the colorful light-wrapped trees, decorated pathways, and 125-foot-long Infinity Tunnel of Light. Get a selfie on a giant ice throne, interact with Candy the Zoo Lights Zebra, and see dragons come to life in the 4D Enchanted Forest. You can even get a socially distanced photo with Santa in his workshop and experience “snow” in Texas.
Holiday Treats
Various food locations will remain open during Zoo Lights, including Cypress Circle Café. There will also be multiple vendors selling holiday treats along the Zoo path, including s’mores, hot chocolate, and more. So bring your appetite.
