Learn to Horseback Ride Around Spring
For a fun way to reduce stress and meet new friends, try horseback riding. Several local stables welcome all abilities, and you'll learn everything from trotting to how to saddle a horse. The stables offering horseback riding classes near our Spring apartments include:
Vantage Point Farm
Founded in 2010, Vantage Point Farm strives to "continue the traditions set in the show horse world over a century ago." Students range from total beginners to seasoned competitors. Everyone starts with private lessons and can move to group or semi-private classes at the instructor's discretion. The school horses are friendly and full of personality. They're also well-trained, and many come from the Saddlebred Rescue.
Loveland Ranch
When Jim and Toni married in 2000, he bought her a ranch. He recognized her passion for horses and wanted to help her share it with others. That's when they opened Loveland Ranch. Toni began riding 40 years ago and owned her first horse at eleven. Today, she offers Western-style riding lessons in group, private, and semi-private settings. The classes are held on a trail and in the arena, and you'll learn walking, trotting, jumping, and other skills.
Horse of Course Stables
At Horse of Course Stables, Alexa Kapp has over 20 years of various riding experiences. She graduated from the Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre and holds certifications in teaching, training, and equine massage. During class, Alexa teaches students how to ride and develop a strong relationship with the horses. The lessons also cover grooming, tacking, and more. The private sessions run for 55 minutes with monthly packages available.
