If you love pets AND Halloween, don’t miss Howl-o-Ween Fest 2021 from 10 AM to 3 PM on Saturday, Oct. 23, at Ellipse Park in The Woodlands, Texas. Presented by the East Shore Community, this free festival benefits local animal rescue organizations, Operation Pets Alive and Friends of Faye.
Fun for Humans & Pets
This year’s Howl-o-Ween Fest includes live music and entertainment, pet vendors, food trucks, a bake sale, the Woodlands Performance Car Show, a silent auction, a pumpkin maze, and spooky tattoos and face painting throughout the event. A highlight of the day is the pet parade and costume contest at 11 AM. Balloon artists and a caricaturist will be onsite from noon to 3 PM, and don’t forget to get some great pics of your furry friend all dressed up (or just looking like their regular, cute self) at the Pets N Pumpkins Photos booth.
Help Homeless Pets
If you’re considering a new pet, adoptable homeless pets will be in attendance at Howl-o-Ween Fest, so you may just find yourself leaving with a new roommate. Even if you’re not ready to adopt, you’ll be helping homeless animals because funds raised during the event will be shared between Operation Pets Alive and Friends of Faye. Both are 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organizations run by volunteers that aim to increase pet adoptions, and help prevent unwanted litters through low-cost spay and neuter services. If you can’t make it to the event, you can still show your support by making a donation.
Start shopping or crafting your pet’s cool costume now, and stop by the office at Olympus Auburn Lakes to let us see them all dressed up. Don’t forget to check out other posts to our blog for more tips on fun events in and around Spring.
